A beautiful modern log cabin in the woods sitting on 2.44 acres in a magical canyon. A massive conservatory is your backyard! This is a rare gem. Unlike most cabins in Big Bear this one is secluded. Come here to avoid all the other crowded options. It is located next to a seasonal stream in spring, has a patio swing, Spa, BBQ, and a custom picnic table. Come ski at the nearby Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Resorts. This cabin sleeps 10 individuals with a queen bed master room, separate kids’ bunkbed room, a very large loft with a queen and trundle beds, and a pull-out bed in the living room sofa. Two modern bathrooms also include a clawfoot tub and two showers. The open plan offers a spacious living room with bar area and open modern kitchen with separate dining area. The rustic pellet stove keeps you warm with a crackling ambiance (we provide the pellets). Flat Screen TV, X-Box game consult and DVD (we provide dozens of DVD movies), Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming apps run on the free WiFi. This large two-story room includes grand windows and special touches such as the mantle from a gold mine and the faux wooden deer head. Christmas?.. We’ll provide a beautiful decorated tree and other accents welcoming Santa to your forest home. This is a chef’s modern kitchen with a Wolf Range and plenty of kitchen amenities. We include the towels and bed linens. This cabin is outfitted with all essentials. Just bring your food, clothes and a good time! The entire home and property are accessible. We are a full time Vacation rental management company. We live here in Big Bear and are available help with vacation planning as well as trip related details once you arrive. Need something to do….ask us! We can help. Serenity, our log cabin, is located in the canyon between Sugarloaf and Moonridge in the Big Bear area. There are only ten homes in the entire canyon. Everyone is on acreage so you are incredibly private here. The property manager also lives in the canyon and can help in the event of an emergency or car access situation. We are such fanatics about forest canyon life. It’s really a special place. Getting around The only way into the canyon is through Sugarloaf and then on a short county road (Sawmill Canyon Drive). Do not take the off-road trail from Moonridge. Do not take Sawmill Road from Big Bear Boulevard (GPS is wrong, there is a non-passable gate). During very heavy snow conditions you will need a 4×4, all-wheel drive, or tire chains. Just about any car can travel here during light snow, Spring, Summer and Fall. The only way into the canyon is on a county road (best way) or via a dirt jeep trail from Moonrodge (not advisable) . Public transportation does not come down here. However a 1 mile walk will take you to the Sugarloaf pick up for Mountain transit should you prefer to take public transportation You will not need wood and we supply pellets for pellet stove for heat. We have WIFI , a smart TV, and Xbox for gaming and streamingTV apps. We have supplied nearly a dozen board games as well as many DVD movies for kids and adults.
